I turn down the treble a bit and lay into it and see if it has the growl. Lucky maybe, or just not sure what the dead spot is It sounds good w/o the Bad Ass II bridge? They are single coil pickups designed by Leo Fender.Though single coil in sound, they are humbucking in operation.
Due to the condition of the bass I'm leaning towards maybe 99- 02 BUT then again I'm not sure so -- maybe someone knows more about the Geddy's.
